Red Barn at Pine Creek Engagement Session | Nicole & Bobby

In the midst of crazy things going on in our world (ahem, all cancellations due to COVID-19), a fun engagement session is just what we all need! From the moment I met Nicole and Bobby over coffee, I’ve been beyond excited to shoot their Red Barn at Pine Creek engagement session!

Nicole and Bobby first met their freshman year of high school. Their relationship made it to the high school dating stage of “talking,” but never amounted to much more. Graduation came and they, like many others, lost touch. A few years ago they reconnected and decided to give dating a try!

Last November they were on an early morning walk with their sweet pup, Tucker. As they reached their favorite spot on the trail, Bobby surprised Nicole by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him! Nicole said she should’ve seen it coming, because it’s not like Bobby to suggest anything other than staying home on a chilly Saturday morning!

This fall they’re planning the most gorgeous bright and airy wedding at Red Barn at Pine Creek Ranch. The best thing of all? Their 4 year dating anniversary falls on a Saturday this year and they booked it!! Now the date has extra, extra special meaning for them!

I believe when it comes to engagement sessions, it’s the little details that matter! While Bobby was getting ready he told me the tan button-up shirt he wore for most of their session belonged to Nicole’s grandpa. Her grandma just gave it to him recently and it fit perfectly with what they’d planned for their session! Also, I’ll never say no if you want to bring your golden retriever for a few photos! Tucker was definitely the star of the show here and stole my heart! (A huge shout out to Nicole’s sister, Kaitlyn, for being the best golden-sitter during our session!)

Nicole and Bobby, you two are a true encouragement! In a time when everything is postponing, you two remain positive. Your love for each other shines brighter than any sunny day! I’m so, so honored to be the photographer who gets to capture your memories! This day was so beautiful because of you two! I can’t wait to see what your wedding day brings!! 🙂
