Gray’s Lake Des Moines Engagement Session | Caroline and Duff

Last year we picked up our family and moved to Ames. It feels so good to be back in the central Iowa area! Caroline and Duff are one of my first Des Moines engagement sessions since we’ve been back. We got to check out a few places I’ve only ever seen in photos and it was a great first taste of this area!

Our initial plan was to shoot around the roses, but we got there and dang, all set up for a wedding. So, everything in the rose garden took place in a quick few minutes before we sought out a new location. I love going wherever the light leads. As we were walking back to our cars, I couldn’t resist the light along the water. Caroline kicked off her heels and we caught some of my favorites pictures.
