Engagement Session at World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa

Photographing couples in wide-open natural spaces where we’re free to move around is my favorite type of session. The garden at World Food Prize in Des Moines provided the perfect space for Emily and Brandon’s engagement session.

Engagement sessions are the perfect chance for us to get comfortable with one another before your wedding day. Plus, it means a few extra photos of you two in something other than your wedding day best. Emily and Branded opted for two looks. The first a little dressier and the second something a little more “them.”

We soaked in the gorgeous summer evening as we strolled the garden, taking photos all the way. When we had our fill and it was time to depart, I couldn’t help feeling a twinge of sadness that I won’t see them again until next year for their wedding day. What a blessing it is to spend beautiful evenings like this with the sweetest people. I’m unbelievably excited to celebrate them next year!
