Dreamy Sunset Iowa City Engagement

Looking at this session, you would never believe it’s November in Iowa! Usually November is cold and windy, but Ashley and Brandon’s dreamy sunset Iowa City engagement session felt like early fall! It was such a fun day! After coming out of a busy season of weddings, an engagement session was such a relaxing change of pace! 

I knew instantly from Ashley‘s message that we were going to get along so well! The sense of joy and excitement about celebrating her and Brandon’s engagement was clear! As the day for their session drew nearer, I couldn’t help but be excited to meet them! Their love for each other is so evident! They knew just what to do to get snuggly, with little to no prompting from me — they’re so cute together!

Whenever couples ask me if they can bring their dogs to their session, my answer is always YES! Ashley and Brandon’s two little golden retriever pups Remi and Kota tagged along for a few photos at their session. They were so sweet and playful! Let’s be honest, the photos with their pups are probably going to be some of the first they hang on their walls!

Ashley and Brandon, I can’t imagine a better way to spend this rare November day. Chasing the golden sunlight with you two was so much fun! I had the best time hearing more of your story and all that you have planned in the year to come! thank you so much for your enthusiasm and joy!
