Engagement Session at Iowa State in Ames

Amy and Carter’s engagement session on Iowa State University’s central campus was a dream. The historic architecture on campus always brings such a unique, timeless feel to photos, and it was a perfect backdrop for capturing their story.

Halfway through the session, the skies surprised us with a light rain shower—even as the sun was still shining! There was something magical about the sun after the rain. The light had this warm, almost ethereal quality afterward. We leaned into it, letting the sunshine bring out a lighthearted, playful side in Amy and Carter. It felt so freeing!

By the end of our time together, I couldn’t thank them enough for the joy and fun they brought to the session. Now, I’m even more excited to celebrate their wedding day in the spring!
