You’d never guess this beautiful wedding took place just outside of the Chicago suburbs. Following family tradition, Melissa and Zeke planned their wedding day at his aunt and uncle’s farmstead. Their day was the epitome of fall in the Midwest. We took advantage of the drying corn and bean fields as the background to some of my favorite ever light-filled images. Melissa opted for the wedding party to be fully dressed in navy, which allowed their colorful blooms to really pop. Not only was this the perfect day weather-wise, but being surrounded by their friends and family was the most relaxing, fun wedding day!
Melissa and Zeke, you two are seriously the sweetest pair! I enjoyed every second spent working with you. Your joy is clear and your love for each other is even more obvious. I’m so excited to be finally sharing these images with you now that I have the film scans back. Every moment was perfect — I hope you enjoy them even more than I have while I’ve worked on them.
