It’s always special when I’m asked to create for a fellow creative. When Andrea first inquired about her and Tanner’s wedding day, I felt so honored. To be entrusted with wedding memories is a precious thing I don’t take lightly. When a fellow photographer trusts me to to do that for them, it’s the ultimate compliment.
Andrea and Tanner planned their day for the Merrill Hotel in Muscatine. We originally had plans to capture outdoor portraits in some of the most gorgeous places around town. The weather, however, had other plans. We took this day slow, unsure if we were ever going to be able to go outside. This shifted the focus away from a photo timeline and back to the main focus — getting Andrea and Tanner married.
As their ceremony began, sunshine started to stream between the clouds. My heart leapt at the opportunity to give Andrea some of those outdoor photos she had been dreaming of. As soon as they were announce husband and wife, we took their bridal party outside to catch the little sunshine blessing.
Once it was just Andrea and Tanner, we had the ability to play a bit. I love the way they embraced they moment, fully enjoying it with each other. The little bits of sun flare were an added bonus. These few moments were truly special and led the way for an exciting remainder of the celebration.
