Muscatine Arboretum Spring Engagement Photos

Hey there, friend! I’ve got a B-E-A-U-TIFUL  engagement session to share with you today! Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones all the time is exactly why I love being a wedding photographer! When Jayln contacted me about capturing her and Tyler’s wedding, I could hardly contain my excitement! One look at their Muscatine Arboretum spring engagement session and I think you’ll know why!

“Tyler and I are planning on a simple and eclectic ceremony and reception. We have known each other for 8 years and have been together for 5. We have two dogs, two cats, and a fish!”

That was Jayln’s message to me when she inquired about having me photograph their wedding! I LOVE it when my brides are so personable! Right off the bat, I knew photographing Jayln and Tyler for both their engagement session and their wedding was going to be a blast!

In high school, Jayln was the super cool, fun girl in band a few years ahead of me. Everything was always wayyy more fun when she was around! During their engagement session we got to catch up a bit on each other’s lives over the last few years. It was so fun to hear how Tyler entered her life and how very kind and loving he’s been to her!

Like how Tyler ordered the most perfect engagement ring that was exactly what she’d dreamed of — without her knowing! After picking her up from the airport after long travels for work, she dropped her bags in the kitchen to find fresh flowers on the table. As she read the accompanying note, she turned to see the love of her life, down on one knee. She was SHOCKED!! I’m over here tearing up just thinking about how sweet that moment must’ve been!!

After their session, I got a text from Jayln that read,“We had so much fun yesterday! You are so wonderful to work with, Bethany. We look forward to working with you on our wedding day.” I couldn’t agree more!

Tyler and Jayln, you guys are great! I knew we were going to have so much fun together! Jayln, you have the biggest, most beautiful personality I’ve ever seen. Capturing your joy together was a true honor! I can’t wait to spend a whole day with you guys again this fall!
