Wedding at The HarMac in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

This was not their original plan. Jordan and Canaan had planned to get married in August, at a totally different venue. But, when COVID changed their plans, they postponed their original wedding date and quickly searched for a plan B. I think their new plan — a wedding at The HarMac in downtown Cedar Rapids — turned out even better than plan A!

I always had a feeling ten-ten-twenty-twenty was going to be a good date — turns out, I was right! Warm sun and clear skies made it feel like it was August, not October! Along with their date change, Jordan and Canaan moved their wedding to the BRAND NEW HarMac in downtown Cedar Rapids. The HarMac is so new, Jordan and Canaan are the very FIRST EVER wedding at The HarMac! Being their photographer was an honor in itself; getting to photograph a new venue was an extra special treat!

I love, love, love their color palette! Give me with all those pinks, purples and beautiful florals! Everything came together so well and was simply beautiful. They had the dream wedding! I think some of the changes this year, though hard, have actually happened for a good reason! This wedding is proof of that!

Jordan and Canaan, thank you for your wonderful example of adapting! Even though the day got a bit busy, you were joyful through it all! You had the most beautiful day. The weather was even on your side, just like it was for your February engagement session, that didn’t feel like February! No one would’ve ever guessed this wasn’t what you had envisioned for your day all along. I loved capturing this special day fo you!
