Alisha and I were high school classmates, and I’ve followed her journey from a distance on Facebook ever since graduation. When I saw the announcement of her engagement to Kenny, I couldn’t contain my excitement. They are truly the perfect pair. It made the connection even sweeter when Alisha reached out to tell me she had been following my work all these years.
Most of the wedding day took place at Alisha’s family farm in Tipton, where she grew up. The day was a beautiful celebration, but it was also tinged with moments of sadness. Alisha’s mom passed away ten years ago, and her absence was deeply felt. To honor her memory, Alisha wore her mother’s perfume and chose a veil that had been worn by both her mother and grandmother on their wedding days. After the ceremony, we made a special stop at the cemetery to pay tribute.
Family played a significant role throughout the day. Alisha’s aunt was right there to lend a helping hand, and the bond between Alisha and her dad was truly heartwarming.
What I love most about couples like Alisha and Kenny is how wrapped up they are in their love for each other. They effortlessly push aside any feelings of awkwardness, allowing themselves to fully enjoy their special moments together.
