Wildcat Den Spring Engagement Session

Happy Thursday! I’m so excited I get to share the first engagement session of 2019 with you!! Nick and Sidney are sweet as can be and their sunset spring engagement session was on fire!!

I’m truly honored to be Sidney and Nick’s wedding photographer! I first met Sidney last September when she was a bridesmaid in her cousin, Brett’s wedding! We didn’t get a chance to talk on the wedding day, I mean, we were both a little busy! When I saw that Sidney and Nick got engaged, I was over the moon for them! And then, when Sidney asked me to be their photographer, I got excited all over again!

These two first met in 4th grade showing at the county fair. But, it wasn’t until a few years ago that they reconnected while playing softball one summer! After moving around a bit to be closer to each other, Nick knew Sidney was the one! In January, during a family game of basketball, Nick passed Sidney a basketball with a very special message written on it. She turned around and there was Nick, down on one knee, proposing with the most gorgeous ring. She was completely blown away!!

Nick went above and beyond to get Sidney the most perfect engagement ring — ALL the way from South Africa!! He had it custom designed just for her! Once the ring was ready, it went through one crazy shipping process that ended with Nick hiding it safely away in their home. Sidney had NO idea! That’s going to be one amazing story to tell their children someday!

I had so much fun with these two! As their session went on, the natural chemistry between them began to shine! They laughed and flirted with each other, which is one of the best things about engagement sessions! It’s so fun to watch couples be in love! I was so sad when their session came to a close. I had so much fun with them, I didn’t want it to end! We parted ways with hugs, which, to me, that’s the perfect way to start a relationship with someone you’re going to be hanging with ALL day on one of the best days of your life!

Sidney and Nick, thank you for choosing me to be your photographer! I’m thrilled to be able to spend your wedding day with you and to capture all of the moments you never want to forget! You two are the cutest and you have such a beautiful relationship! This fall can’t come soon enough!!
